BIOGRAPHICAL SCKETCH

Associate Professor  at the University of Valencia since 2011 until 2019, currently being Full Professor in Optometry and Vision Sciences. Previously served as Assistant Professor and Lecturer at the University of Santiago de Compostela (Spain) and City University in London (UK).

Completed two Fellowships at the Department of Ophthalmology of the Louisiana State University School of Medicine and the Southern Vision Institute, both in New Orleans (USA).

Editorial board member of the  Journal of Optometry , the Journal of Ophthalmology, and Life, as well serving in several international review panels for the assessment of funding research proposals in competitive public calls, both within and outside Europe.

Currently participates in several research projects funded by public entities, such as the European Comission, the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness or the Generalitat Valenciana, as well as through several contracts with the industry.
